Inky Pinky

Eolophus roseicapilla

Lacking confidence

Do not weep for me

No tragedy

to see me in this parrot box

a paradox

Painted pink parrot

a solitary love bird

Who's cage is its liberty

Nothing is what it claims to be

For when I get free

I'll be haunted by my own kind

even get killed if nescesarry

as they haven't got the slightest clue of who I realy am

Their brother in desguise

my beloved ones all deceived by their own eyes ...

Alas, this jailbird

prefers the cage at any price

  2. Echoing above's comment.
    What an image.
As for your quintessence: I see your point, but – feeling reminded of a wonderful short story by Thomas Valentin – wish I could not agree. :)

    1. Now I'm realy curious about that short story. Could you tell me the title, please, so I can read it?
To be honest I disagree with this little pink parrots point of view for several reasons. As a matter of fact I believe living is daring to take risks now and then, (for naming one)
In my language there is a proverb saying : "Wie bang is krijgt ook slaag". It means : "The one who's afraid gets beatings too."
Maybe even more than the one who isn't ... ;-)

      Thanks for the comment, Sean.

Don't hesitate, just write something on the window or the walls, because I'ld love to read what you're thinking.

Aarzel maar niet. Hier mag je op het raam of de muren schrijven, gewoon omdat ik je graag wil lezen.
